Andy Stanford's
Low Light Surgical Speed Shootign

(September 9-10, 2006)

Statistically, most armed confrontations occur at close range in low light and darkness. Shooting the threat quickly and accurately under these conditions is literally a matter of life and death. Options for Personal Security Director Andy Stanford wrote the book on how to Fight at Night and Surgical Speed Shooting. Now OPS combines the tactics and techniques from both these sources in a unique course every serious student of combat pistolcraft should attend. Topics include:

  • Cutting edge methods for grip, stance, aiming, trigger control and followthrough.
  • Modulating rate of fire for based on shot conditions, from cyclic precision to deliberate precision.
  • Shooting single and multiple targets one- and two-handed, with and without the aid of a flashlight.
  • Tactical gunhandling for safe and efficient 360 degree, 24/7 performance under stress
  • Shooters will need 1000 rounds of ammunition, pistol with strong side or appendix holster and sturdy belt, 2 spare magazines or speedloaders with carrier, eye and ear protection, and a suitable flashlight (2 battery Sure Fire light highly recommended e.g., E2e/d, G2Z, G2, 6P, etc.)
